  5. Oh, I LOVE a bloke in a frock-coat!!!

  6. The perfect way to brighten up a very wet morning! Sadly no such talent to be seen in this morning’s downpour here!

  7. I don’t think one can ever watch too much Mr. Darcy…of the Colin Firth variety. What a big spunk!

  8. Ooh er. I’ve come over all funny now :)
Lovely, Lara, and thanks for all the references too, there’s a couple for me to add to my must-watch list.

  9. Oh thank you for the referencing. I have some serious downloading to do this weekend!!

  10. Phwoarrrrrrrrr!!!!! Alan Rickman!

    1. Yes I’d forgotten how killer Alan was back then.

  11. Wow, that was pretty yummy. Love the way the guys dressed back then. Might not have been too comfortable but the clothes (and the guys) were eye candy.

  12. Oh Mr Darcey! Love it.

  13. Thanks Lara, I spend much time in my sewing room with these men, how many times can one watch Pride and Prejudice? Sense and sensibilty? and the rest, how many times, many!
    Love period drama.
    Great to watch.

  14. I’m sorry – but they just don’t make men like that any more. Definitely drool worthy. Thank you for sharing.

  15. Be still my beating heart!
I’m with you Tan – can’t go past Colin as Mr Darcy – swoon!!

  16. well done

  18. Gasp! Heavy panting – North and South is Richard Armitage.

Now HE gets my juices flowing (I meant drool, take it easy) like no other.

Eeep. Boy, is it hot all of a sudden?

  19. I was just going to say it’s Richard Armitage for North and South!

  20. I’ve watched it twice now, but they seemed to have forgotton to add my fav scene of Mr Darcy (the Colin Firth variety) emerging from the pond he dives into. A wet white shirt clinging to a nice body… oh well – loved the rest though. Thanks Lara.

  21. Love, love, love Austen dramas. The 2008 S&S is one of my favourites.

  22. What a treat. I adore period drama, I wore out the VHS version I had of Pride and Prejudice. Don’t worry I have it on DVD now. 8-) The only one I think they was missed was Persuasion with Ciaran Hines and Amanda Root.

  23. Just what I needed with my cup of coffee just now! Thank you so much :) Mel xox

  24. Nearly as much as a period drama I love a bit of crime and espionage and am devouring new and old episodes of Spooks. It’s taken this clip for me to realise Adam Carter in Spooks is also Captain Wentworth in Persuasion! (Rupert Penry-Jones). There was another Spooks actor in that mix too….
going to post this on fb as I have many friends who will enjoy this too!
