This is … me pre-1985
Angela asked us to post an extra “this is” for this week. So here I am, pre-1985!

This is 1984, at the Year 11 school dinner dance. Mum made the watermark taffeta dress. I loved that dress! I wore it a few times, then it was passed on to my cousin. The dress had a dropped waist, gathered skirt, and a sash. Tres chic!

We are a similar vintage as I had a watermark taffeta dress that I wore to my Year 12 ball that my Mum made for me! Mine had the Princess Di sleeves. Love the colour of your dress.

Similar here as well, I bridesmaided in a green version. I think it had a lace up back…oh dear.

You must have been very fashionable in the 80’s. You have the perfect 80’s hair and the perfect 80’s outfit. Very very tres chic!

THE SPOOKINESS CONTINUES!
My mum also made me a waterwave taffetta dress in 1986 for my year 12 formal. It had a V-gathered skirt, puffy sleeves, boat neck and it was red.
Loved that dress. Only wore it once. I think mum still has it.

Oh! I had a green waterwave taffeta dress as a bridesmaid dress around the same time. It also had a dropped waist and puffy sleeves. I remember it russling as I walked. But boy, your pink one is even better!

Wow - I can see why you loved that dress. I had a baby blue and silver taffeta number (with the diagonal drop-waist, and of course ridiculously big shoulder pads :P). Aaaaah, those were the days
